Diane Priscilla Reith

Diane Reith of Citrus Heights, CA, beloved sister of Linda Roye and Robert Reith passed away peacefully on January 31, 2014. Born on August 15, 1944 to Doris Arline and Ernest Philip Reith, her birth resulted in cerebral palsy. At the age of eight, Diane contracted encephalitis and subsequently required a wheelchair. Until recently, Diane attended the ACE IT II day program at Easter Seals and services at Trinity Cathedral, rarely missing a Sunday. She was supported through ALTA Regional Services and Strategies to Empower People (STEP), a supported living service. Despite her physical limitations, Diane was always uncomplaining, loving and a joy to be with. She loved her family and her life and touched everyone whom she met. She will especially be missed by her devoted caregivers at STEP. A Memorial Service was held on February 19 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Cathedral, 2620 Capital Avenue, Sacramento. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to STEP or Easter Seals of Superior California Disability Services.
