Lupe M. Martinez

Lupe was called home peacefully in Sacramento on March 10, 2014. She was surrounded by her loving family. She now rejoins her beloved husband, the late Jesus "Chito" Martinez as well as her parents, the late Florencio & Inez Ortiz. She will be deeply missed by her children and family: Adriana, Laura (Victor), Andrew, Michael (Eva), Christopher (Dolores) and Richard (Iris). She was proud to be adored by 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her many siblings and numerous nieces and nephews. She was native of Newcastle, CA and a 75 year resident of Sacramento aged 85 years. Friends were welcomed for visitation at WF Gormley & Sons Chapel, 2015 Capitol on Thu.(3/13) from 5pm until the Vigil Service which will begin at Gormleys at 7pm. A Mass was held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 711 T Street, on Fri. (3/14) at 10:00am, followed by interment at St. Mary's Cemetery. "Mom, we love you for being such a protector and guiding light for our whole family! We all live by the graceful and proud woman you have been and will remain to us in our hearts."
