With sadness we share that Rudolf Josef Schneider unexpectedly left us on March 18, 2014, He was born in Merced, California on November 10, 1934 to Rudolf M. and Antonia Schneider, moving to Sacramento as a young child. He graduated from Christian Brothers High School, served 4 years in the U.S. Navy, and retired from IBM after more than 30 years as a Customer Engineer. During his retirement years he enjoyed traveling to see the world, spending time with friends and family, and flying RC planes with the Tuesday Clique. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan; and his four favorite daughters, Lisa, Amy and husband, David and their children, Rachel, Eric and Brooke; Jennifer and husband, Hoang and their children, Matthew and Natalie, Kristine and husband, Ron and their children, Reilly and Sophie; and 2 great grandchildren, Grace and Ava. He is also lovingly survived by sisters, Norma Santos and Maryann Kvasager; many loving sisters and brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rudy also made many friends on his daily walks and runs on M Street and will be missed by all. A Memorial Mass of Resurrection was held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, March 25, at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 26th and K Streets. Private interment at a future date.
