Patricia Ziel Olsen

Patricia passed peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on April 16, 2014, in Sacramento. She now rejoins her beloved husband of 25 years, the late Burton Olsen as well as her son, the late Gordon Bryte Hughes Jr. She will be dearly missed by her daughter Ruth Hughes Rubier (Scott) and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Hughes, as well as her grandchildren; Warren & Thomas Rubier and Katheryn & Christen Hughes. She was born in San Francisco, September 9, 1937 to John and Elizabeth Ziel. A resident of Sacramento for 50 years, she was a member of the Junior League of Sacramento. "Gam" enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and playing dominos & bridge. Friends were welcomed to attend a Memorial Service on Tuesday, April 22, at 11:00am at W.F. Gormley & Sons Funeral Chapel, 2015 Capitol Avenue, Sacramento, California. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society cancer.org/donate.
