Joseph Lloyd "Mike" Turnacliff died peacefully on May 4th,2014 at the age of 82. He was born on June 22,1931 to Violet (Landeck) and Lloyd Turnacliff in Seattle, WA. They moved to Sacramento in 1935 where Mike attended McClatchy High School and later graduated from USC School of Business. He played on the USC golf team and was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. In 1954 he and Ann Armstrong were married in Los Angeles. They had four children: John (Marti Micheli), Jill Meda (deceased), Bob (Arlene) and Michael (Sarah Chapman). He leaves 3 grandchildren: Kelli and Dale Mitchell and Tyler Colbert as well as his sister: Mary Strauch (Earl). We are grateful for the gift of his life and for all of the ways in which he modeled temperedness and faithfulness to his family. He was a gentleman and a gentle man in every sense. He regaled others with his wonderful sense of humor. Mike invested his heart and soul into the fish business. His passions were playing golf with good friends and selling seafood. Mike was an active member of Del Paso Country Club and the Grandfathers' Club. He was past President of California Seafood Institute. He will be greatly missed by his family.
