Spencer Cooper Pershall

Spencer was born on December 18, 1998 in Sacramento, California and passed away on November 3, 2014. We had less than sixteen woefully short but wonderful years with Spencer, filled with much love and laughter. He excelled in his studies at Sacred Heart Parish School and Christian Brothers High School where he built many dear friendships. Spencer's passion and one of his many gifts was playing guitar, especially his Stratocaster. He enjoyed cruising the neighborhood on all his different bikes, listening to and playing old-time rock and roll, running fast, learning to drive, and ice-skating and playing broomball with his friends at the Kerth family's Iceland Skating Rink. He was a superb skier, a gifted artist and enjoyed hours and hours of tubing behind the family boat with his brother, Gordon, and their many friends. He was a veteran European traveler and a deep thinker beyond his years. Spencer enriched the lives of all who knew him with his intelligence, sincerity, kindness, sense of humor and mischievous spark. Spencer is survived by his mother Sherri Kerth, his father Keith Pershall, his brother Gordon Pershall and grandmothers, aunts, uncles, and cousins, classmates, teachers and friends who dearly loved him and will miss him always. A Celebration of Spencer's life was held at St. John's Lutheran Church at 1701 L Street in Sacramento on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at 4:00pm. A reception immediately followed in the church hall.
