Marisa A. Higgins

HIGGINS, Marisa A. On June 10, 1994, Craig and Teresa Higgins, and their daughter Alina, welcomed Marisa to their family. As a child, Marisa spent a lot of time in the family's chocolate business, Capital Confections, doing art projects, creating displays and fashioning ribbons into stunning art. She was an active member of the Fulton El Camino swim community as a lifeguard and synchronized swimmer/coach. A lover of art, she was pursuing a degree in Design at the University of San Francisco. Marisa adored music, fashion, and all things Disney. At the age of 20, Marisa was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. After six courageous months of fighting, Marisa's battle ended while in the presence of loved ones. Marisa's funeral service will be held at Sacred Heart, located at 1040 39th St., Sacramento, CA, on Saturday, December 6 at 1:30 pm, followed by a reception at the Fulton El Camino Community Center located within Howe Park. In lieu of flowers, the Higgins family welcomes commemorative donations to the FEC Stingray Boosters or the Mercy Foundation (Designation: Mercy Cancer Institute). "To Infinity and Beyond!"
