JABLONSKY, Steven A. Born June 28, 1935 Passed December 31, 2014 Steve passed away in Roseville, CA surrounded by his family. Born on a farm in New Hradec, North Dakota, he was one of eight children to Mary and Philip Jablonsky. He attended Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Elementary School near the family farm and continued on to Model High School in Dickinson ND. He joined the United States Navy and served honorably in the Korean War. After release from the Navy, he attended Bismarck Junior College, where he met his lifelong love Dona. He enrolled in the University of North Dakota earning a degree in accounting. After graduating he moved to Sacramento CA and acquired his CPA certification. Steve went to work in a private practice as an accountant before going to work with the State of California's Department of Finance ultimately becoming the executive officer of the Cal OSHA standards board. After retiring he split his time between his home in Sun CIty Roseville golfing with his friends and relaxing with Dona at their vacation home at Lake Tahoe. He is survived by his wife Dona, three sons Mike, David (Errica) and Carl, five grandchildren Angela (John), Sarah, Stevie, Sam and Caden and two great-grand children Wyatt and Evan. Family and friends are invited to attend a vigil Thursday evening, January 8th at 7:00 pm at St. Clare Catholic Church, Roseville CA. A celebration of his life, with mass, will be held January 9th at 11:00 am at St Clare as well with a reception to follow at Timber Creek Ballroom, Sun City Roseville, 7050 Del Webb Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Steve's name to Christian Brothers High School.
