Frank John Philipps

Frank was an outgoing man and was loved by all who knew him. Born in San Francisco October 9, 1932, passed away unexpectedly at his home on January 12, 2015. Preceded in death by his High School Sweetheart and loving wife, Sally. Survived by his children: John (Tracy), Sheryl (preceded in death by Jim) & Claudel (Chris). Grandchildren: Devin, Megan (Zach), Vince, Braelyn, Steve, Shelbi & Chad. Great Grandchildren: Hudson & Hadleigh. Frank retired from Farmers Insurance after 30+ years. He was active in many organizations including: sergeant of arms for the Knights of Columbus, the Italian Club, Model A Club of Sacramento, SIRS #117 & Carmichael Elks Club. He volunteered for the Railroad Museum and Sierra Adoption Services. Frank "Papa" loved to spend time with his family, drive his model A (and anything else with four wheels) and work on projects around the home and at his property. Funeral services will be held on Monday January 19 at 11:00am at St. Mary's Church; reception to follow. The family asks that donations be made to your favorite charity in lieu of flowers.
