Louise Stephens Jones

JONES, Louise Stephens 1923-2015 Born in Yolo County to a pioneering ranching family, Louise spent her first years in Esparto, Woodland and Piedmont, California. She was a graduate of Piedmont High School and attended UC, Berkeley, where she met Walter P. Jones, Jr. her husband of nearly 50 years and they settled in Sacramento. She served her community by being involved in organizations including Sacramento Junior League, United Way and Trinity Cathedral. Louise was a pure spot of bright light on a dreary day, as many of her friends and family would attest. She was the epitome of graciousness, style and class. She is survived by her daughters Susan Jones of Eugene, Oregon; Beth Jones Reid (Russell) of Quincy, California; daughter-in-law Sally Jones of Los Gatos, California; grandchildren Robb Jones and Scott (Angela) Jones; Tim (Caitlin) Reid; Katie (Sean) Reid Harris, great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Seggie and Carlo. She is preceded in death by Walter P. Jones, Jr and Walter (Parker) P. Jones III. A private service has been planned in her honor. The family extends their gratitude to the caring staff at Chateau at River's Edge and Sutter Care at Home Hospice.
