George "Tim" Rooney

ROONEY, George Timothy "Uncle Timmy" passed away on January 25th at the age of 58 while duck hunting with friends. A legend in East Sacramento, Rooney loved, served, and helped many and will be sorely missed. His love for his family, friends, and animals was everything to him. A stranger was a friend he hadn't met yet. He is survived by his beloved sister, Barbara Rooney Swanston (Fritz Shaad), and his nieces Meredith Underly (Stephen), Jennifer Jacobson (Ryan) and nephews Timothy Patrick Swanston (Elizabeth), Michael Swanston (Kristy), Matthew Swanston (Sarah), as well as his great nieces and nephews, Mia, Theo, Jack, Sam, Henry, Finn & Ellie. The Funeral Service will take place at Sacred Heart Church, 1040 39th Street, Sacramento on Friday, January 30th at 1 pm.
