SMOLICH, JOANNE M. In Sacramento, February 3, 2015 Beloved wife of the late Marco P. Smolich. Loving mother of Thomas Smolich, S.J, Geri Smolich, and Marco Smolich (Julia Price). Loving grandmother of Justine Smolich, great-grandmother of Ava Marie. Loving sister of Robert Rolufs (Lolita), cousins Mary Louise Byrd, Maurine LaZansky, Peter (Veronica) Mitchell, Julian (Nancy) Rolufs, Jean Stone, their families and other relatives. Loving adopted grandmother of the Harvey-Moore families. Blessed in her life by many friends, from "The Gang" to the residents and staff of Mercy McMahon Terrace. Joanne was active in many activities over the years, including Sacred Heart Parish and the Sacramento Food Bank. Proud to have been a participant in the UC Davis Women's Health Initiative. A native of Sacramento, aged 84 years. Friends are invited to attend services on Saturday, February 7 at Sacred Heart Church, 1040 39th Street, Sacramento; Wake and Rosary at 10 AM, Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Smolich Family Scholarship at Christian Brothers High School, the Smolich Family Scholarship at Jesuit High School, Jesuit Refugee Service, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
