DONOVAN, Denis F. Jan. 29, 1932 - Feb. 22, 2015 Beloved husband of Patricia Burke Donovan, loving father of Katie King (Larry), Denis (Maria), John (Judy), Mary Haase (Denis), and Joe (Anne). He was predeceased by his daughter Margaret, his parents Denis and Elizabeth Donovan and his brother Michael Donovan. Cherished grandfather of Sarah, Sean, Ryan, Megan, Max, Megan, Patrick, Colleen Erin, Kathleen, Thomas, Margaret, and Abigail. Great-grandfather of Gabriel Denis. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, A native and lifetime resident of Sacramento, aged 83 years, Denis and Pat celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on January 22nd. Denis is a graduate of Christian Brothers and Santa Clara University. He had a successful 40 year career in the Sacramento Real Estate and Insurance fields. He was a founding member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish. He was enthusiastically involved in support of his children's and grandchildren's activities. He enjoyed many a day on the deck at their Emerald Bay Cabin. Friends are welcome for visitation at W. F. GORMLEY & SONS CHAPEL, 2015 Capitol Avenue, Friday from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, and are invited to attend a Rosary Service at the Chapel at 5:30 PM. Friends are also invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be offered for the repose of his soul at St. Joseph Church, 9961 Elk Grove-Florin Road, Elk Grove, Saturday at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances, may be made in his memory to Christian Brothers High School. -
