Robert and Jaeileen Davidson Longtime Sacramento residents Robert Davidson and his wife of 66 years, Jaeileen Davidson, will be buried Monday, April 6, at 1 p.m., at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum. Robert died at age 91 on February 10 and Jaeileen died at age 91 on March 17, both passing away in their home in Appleton, Wis., where they had resided for the past several years. The Catholic Graveside service will take place at St. Joseph's Lawn at St. Mary's Cemetery in Sacramento. Bob Davidson, age 91, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday morning, February 10, 2015. Bob was born in Harvard, Illinois on February 10, 1924, son of the late Richard and Mary Davidson who were British citizens. When Bob was a young boy, the family relocated to Northern Ireland where he was raised and attended school. At the tender age of sixteen he joined the British military to fight in World War II, and when he became of age in 1942, joined the United States Army. On July 3, 1948, Bob married Jaeileen Rackerby in Reno, Nevada, and shortly thereafter, a daughter Jeanne Marie was born in 1953. After a long military career and having reached the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, he then retired from military service and worked for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. He retired in 1972. In their later years, the couple moved to Appleton to be near to their longtime friends, Bill and Kiki Harke, who have watched over them these last years. Bob is survived by his loving wife of sixty-six years: Jaeileen Davidson of Appleton; and his good friends: Bill and Kiki Harke; their children: Paul, Bill, and Lindsay; and their grandchildren: Ali and Jason Harke. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Jeanne Marie, and brothers Richard and Raymond. Jaye Davidson, age 91, of Appleton, passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 17, 2015. She has now joined her husband, Robert, and her daughter, Jeanne Marie, into the loving arms of Jesus in Heaven. Jaye was born on September 25, 1923, in Sacramento, California, to the late Jay and Gertrude (Ijour) Rackerby. She married Robert Davidson on July 3, 1948, in Reno, Nevada. Jaye was preceded in death by her husband on February 10, 2015, and her daughter in 1970. She is survived by her good friends, Bill and Kiki Harke; their children: Paul, Bill and Lindsay; and their grandchildren: Ali and Jason Harke. Jaye enjoyed her dogs, boating and especially her travels with her husband.
