TARPIN, Rosalie Born March 25, 1931 to Samuel and Rosalie Tarpin. She was predeceased by her loving parents, maternal grandparents Joseph and Mary LaPerna, and loving family Antoinette, Frances, Catherine, Virginia and Daniel. Her dear friend, Beverly Robbins also predeceased her. She is survived by her sister, Mary Anne Sherinian (John), brothers David Tarpin (Chantal), and Samuel D. Tarpin. She was a very loving aunt of many nieces and nephews who will greatly miss her. Rosalie attended local public schools and McClatchy High School. She received her B.A. from Sacramento State College and Master's degree in counselling and pupil personnel. For many years she studied piano at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Mills College in Oakland. She was a lifelong member of the California Music Teachers Association. Rosalie taught at local public high schools and at Saint Francis High School. Her last teaching position before retirement was at Sacramento City College, where she taught piano and music history. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be offered for the repose of her soul at Holy Spirit Church, 3159 Land Park Drive, Sacramento, Friday, April 17 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery. In her memory, donations may be sent to Alzheimer's Association, 1455 Response Road, #190, Sacto., Ca., 95815.
