DECETIS, Connie Castro At the age of 101, on Sunday morning of April 26, Connie passed away at her home in Eskaton Village in Carmichael, where she was a resident for 11 years. Her children were fortunate to be with her when she passed. Connie was born in San Francisco and moved to Sacramento at a young age. She was the last survivor of seven children. She was a devoted wife, helping her husband Jay with their Spotless Cleaners business and then with his career at Moss & Moss Real Estate. After 63 years of marriage, she lost Jay in 2000. As a stay at home mother, she was fully involved with her two children and their activities growing up, and provided guidance as they pursued their careers. Connie is survived by her son Eric Decetis, daughter Carole Kassis (Greg), and grandson Tyler Kassis. Connie was pre-deceased by her grandson Lance Wood, who she helped raise as a child. A Rosary will be held Monday, May 4, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. at Gormley & Sons, 2015 Capitol Avenue, Sacramento. Burial will be private. Remembrances can be made to the Alzheimer's Association 2641 Cottage Way, Sacramento, or to the charity of your choice . Connie lived a dignified life, fully devoted to her family, and was thankful for all the love, blessings, friendships and care that came her way during her 101 years.
