Drury, Harold J., D.D.S. Born in Hemingford, NE 8/12/18 and passed on 5/8/15. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers. He is survived by his youngest sister, Maxine Burke. Harold was married for the past 73 years to Elma Rogers of Rapid City, SD. He received his BS at Cal Berkeley and then continued on in dental school receiving his DDS degree from UCSF. He practiced in Courtland, CA for several years before moving to Sacramento where he practiced for 45 years. He was actively involved in political, civic and golfing activities, and of course dentistry. Harold was a 65 year member of Del Paso Country Club, serving as its President in 1976. He was the General Chairman of the 1976 US Women's Amateur Championship at Del Paso. He was also a member of Spyglass Hill Golf Club. Harold served as a director for the Northern California Golf Association from 1971 to 1979. A founding director of the Lincoln Club of Sacramento, he served as its president in 1980-1981. He was a life member of the Sacramento District Dental Society and the American Dental Association. In his opinion there was only one college football team, Nebraska! This was the year they were going to go all the way. In later years he cherished his mem bership in the Grandfather's Club of America, Sacramento. Harold is survived by his wife Elma and five children, Karen Norris (Tom), Margaretta Aubert (Jose), Elena Kelleher, Nancy Faulkner and John Drury (Tierney.) He's also survived by his grandchildren Katy Norris (Will Berson), Elizabeth Norris, Richard Norris, Tana Aubert, Kristine Hernandez, Ryan Drury, Ross Drury and two great grandchildren, Josephine Berson and Tulsi Hernandez. A memorial in his honor will be held on Wednesday, June 10th at the Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church (11427 Fair Oaks Blvd., Fair Oaks) at 11 a.m. Remembrances can be made to The First Tee of Greater Sacramento (www.thefirst teesacramento.org).
