Barbara Jean (Simas) Garcia

Garcia (Simas), Barbara Jean In Sacramento on May 14, 2015. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Raymond P. Garcia. Loving mother of Linda Burk (Rich), Carol Garcia, Gail Buckman (Brad), and the late Richard "Rick" Garcia. Daughter of the late Camille and Minnie Simas. Sister of John Simas. Sister in law of Kenneth Garcia and the late Lois Riley. Cherished grandmother of Coop and Audrey. A third generation native of Sacramento born August 8, 1926. Barbara worked for the State of California, Department of Consumer Affairs for nearly 20 years. Barbara enjoyed bowling, playing cards with friends, reading and various word puzzles. She was also an avid San Francisco Giants Fan. Friends are welcome at W.F. Gormley & Sons, 2015 Capitol Ave on Monday, May 18 from 5:00-7:00pm for visitation and are invited to attend a Rosary service following the visitation. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 19 at 12:00pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1333 58th Street. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
