Patricia Elaine Snellings At the age of 85, Pat passed away on May 30, 2015. She was born in Denver, Colorado on March 30, 1930. Her parents Thomas Ching and Josephine Schober, grandson Derek Snellings, and daughter-in-law, Debe Snellings preceded her in death. Pat is survived by her husband of 65 years Bob, children Bob Snellings of Rancho Murieta, Becky Brown (Mike) of Elk Grove, Tom Snellings (Wanda) of Sacramento and Tim Snellings (Deena) of Nevada City. She is also survived by 4 grandchildrenShawn Brown, Jamie Snellings, Sierra Kaiser and Tyler Snellings and 5 great-grandchildrenSasha and Cody Brown and Anton, Victoria and Miriam Kaiser. Pat and Bob met in Colorado and married soon after. Bob started work for McCarthy Brothers Construction Company and their early years together were spent on jobs in Missouri, Illinois, and Minnesota before moving to Sacramento, California. Of her four children, each was born in a different state and after the fourth child, Pat said four was enough and she was not moving again. Pat's family and friends were the best part of her life and she was always there to provide love and support. She was a stay-at-home mom and was there to raise her children. As the kids got older, she went to work at a day care center, then as a secretary for a construction company. After Bob retired, they decided to see the world via cruise ships and went on about 25 cruises to many ports of call all over the world including those in Alaska, the Caribbean, the South Seas, Europe, the eastern USA coastline, and Mexico. But being with the family gave her the greatest joy. She always loved family dinners and celebrations and a good party. Pat was a devoted Catholic. Over the years, she attended All Hallows, St. Rose's, and St. Mary's churches. She had a love for God which provided her hope of eternal life in heaven. Her association with the churches also led to many crab feed gatherings with family and friends, which she thoroughly enjoyed. At Pat's request, no services were held, but the family thought it would be appropriate to have a "Celebration of Life" in her honor to share memories of our good times together. Please send any donations in her memory to the charity of you choice.
