Leslie M. Spears

Spears, Leslie M. Born July 24, 1940 in Oakland, California. Passed away June 5, 2015 at home after a brief struggle with Cancer. Leslie was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Throughout the years she was involved in the Tahoe School PTA, and the Tahoe-Tallac Little League. Leslie retired from the California Women's Bowling Association after 30+ years of employment. She was a force behind the many conventions held for the women and was also the chairwoman of the Senior Tournament. The seniors were her passion and under her leadership the participants nearly quadrupled. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 36 years, Robert O. Spears in 2011. Friends and Family are invited to attend a service at W.F. Gormley & Sons Wednesday, June 10th, at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Association.
