Edith Shaw Getzen-Borst

Edith Shaw (Borst) Getzen born on Feb. 9th 1925 in Pennsylvania passed away on June 18th 2015 in Woodland, California. Edith went to Nursing School and joined the Navy as a WAVE. She met and married Capt. Lindsay C. Getzen MD and they had one child. Edith spent her years taking care of her family and her community, working with many charities, with one of her favorites being Ombudsman. She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Ethal (Bolton) Shaw of England and her loving husband Dr. Lindsay C Getzen, Capt. USN Retired. Edith is surived by her daughter Valda (Getzen) Harrison, grandson Buckley (Desirae), granddaughter Amanda (TJ), and great grandsons Landon and Wyatt. Internment will be at Arlington National Cemetary with her husband Lindsay. She will be missed by many.
