Aug. 9, 1950 - July 21, 2015 Francine Tilton Kammeyer Krug of Sacramento died Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at the age of 64. A native of Sacramento, she was a member of the Class of 1968 at C.K. McClatchy High School. She graduated in 1972 from Stanford University with a degree in political science. In 1977, she graduated from the McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento. Francine practiced law in Sacramento for 37 years, the last 25 were with the State of California. For the state, she was employed as Chief Counsel for Department of Food and Agriculture and as Senior Staff Counsel with the Department of Social Services. Francine was a devoted mother and grandmother, as well as an avid gardener who could cultivate absolutely anything. She loved to travel, enjoying the outdoors and camping, with thousands of highway miles to her credit. Her departure was sudden, and her loss will be felt deeply by her many friends and colleagues, as well as much extended family - she was loved by all. Francine is survived by her husband, Michael Krug of Sacramento; her children Kevin Kammeyer of Sacramento, Mickey Kammeyer and wife Elisa of Egremont, MA, and Kaity Kahle and husband Tom of Daly City, CA; and her grandchildren Nadia, Jordan, Eden, Tommy, Leah, Gracie and Judah. Services will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at 1:00pm at Holy Spirit Church, 3159 Land Park Dr., Sacramento, CA 95818, with a rosary on Tuesday night at 7:00pm at Gormley & Sons, 2015 Capitol Ave, Sacramento, CA 95811.
