Dorothy Sue Farrell

Dorothy S. Farrell, 79, passed away peacefully August 12, 2015, in Sacramento, California. Dorothy was born in Forest, Mississippi on September 4, 1935, to the late Ferguson and Louetta Gardner. Dorothy relocated to California with her family in 1943. She graduated from high school, earned a nursing degree and worked as a registered nurse for 20+ years. She had a loving and generous heart. She enjoyed weekend trips to Reno, gardening and shopping. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Michael F. Farrell; son Michael D. Farrell; and brother Baker Gardner. Dorothy is survived by her son Stephen Farrell; son Kevin Farrell; daughter Cathy Mora; daughter-in-law Dee Dee Farrell; son-in-law Daniel Mora; grandchildren Christie Perez, Stephen Farrell, Jr., Jennifer Reed, Stephanie Mora, Kevin Farrell, Jr., and Jeff Mora; and great-grandchildren Alyssa Farrell, Matthew and Andrew Perez. Dorothy is also survived by her sisters Peggy Landrith and Jackie Hubbard; and brother Marlin Gardner. A private funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery.
