Benedicta C. Davis

It is with great sadness the family of Benedicta Davis announces her passing. Benedicta Cardosa Da Silva was born July 30, 1924 in Sao Paulo Brazil to Jose and Evilasia Da Silva. She came to the United States in the 1950’s where she met and married Marion Davis. They settled in Sacramento, CA and gave birth to 5 children. She is survived by her sisters Antonia, Marleen, Maria Silva, her three children Marion Davis Jr. (Skip), Carol Davis, Kent Davis and her grandchildren Kahlil Joseph, Tiffany Martin, Kent Davis Jr., Merendi Barksdale, Hasdrubal Rivers, Sabel, Brittney, Briana and Brandi Davis 6 great grandchildren.  Her brother Benedicto, sons Keith, Keven Davis and her grandchild Noah Davis precedes her in death, The family would like to give a special thanks to the care providers that were instrumental in the care of their mother, Lajoi Davis, Christine Johnson and Tisha Price. Benedicta joined Immaculate Conception parish in the early 1960’s where she gave a lifetime of service to not only for the church but her community.

Viewing will be at W.F. Gormley & Sons Chapel, 2015 Capitol Ave, on Friday, December 18 from 4pm to 7pm.

A Mass will be held Saturday, December 19, 2015 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Parish 3263 1st Ave Sac, CA 95817 (916-452-6866).
