William James Limeberger, Jr., a native of Sacramento, was born in 1938 to William and Eleanor Limeberger. Pre-deceased by his parents and brother, Ron. Bill is survived by Mary, his wife of 58 years, and daughters Debbie and Lynn, grandchildren Kevin, Kaela, Trevor, Johnnie, Stephanie, great-granddaughter Calyn and soon to be born Cecilia; his sister-in-law Joan, nephews Mike, Mark and niece Jill; first cousins Donald, Richard and Maribeth. A graduate of Christian Brothers High School class of '56, member of Elks Lodge No. 6 for 51 years. Actively played handball for 27 years. Bill and Mary operated a family restaurant, the El Chico #2 on Freeport Blvd., for 39 years. During those years they also ran marathons. Retired in 1999 to the mountains in Pioneer. He loved splitting and chopping wood with his wife, staying active in outdoor pursuits. Always the working team, Bill and Mary loved running Plasse's Resort at Silver Lake for 14 seasons. Friends are invited to attend a Rosary service on January 8th at 6:00 PM at Holy Spirit Church, 3159 Land Park Drive. Friends are also invited to attend a Memorial Mass at the Church on January 9th at 11:00 AM. Private interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery. A reception will follow the mass and all are invited to attend. Remembrances in his name may be made to Christian Brothers High School Class of 1956.
