Ruth Evelyn Gray
Ruth Gray was born in Akron, Ohio, the eldest of the 3 daughters of Josephine May (Levers) and Frederick Charles Davis. The family settled in Sacramento in 1936, where she soon met and, on June 16, 1937, married William G Gray. They would remain married for 48 years. Ruth was a fulltime homemaker and loved nothing better than spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a grandson, Kenneth M. Allen. She is survived by her sisters Dorothy M. Nosler and Louise L. Smith, her children Judith A. Allen, Linda R. Simone and David W. Gray, her grandchildren Keith W. Allen, Laura L. Hendricks, Jennifer M. Williams, Rebecca R. French, Jason W. Simone and Peter M. Gray, 10 great-grand-children and 4 great-great-grand- children. A memorial service will be held at W F Gormley & Sons, 2015 Capitol Avenue, Sacramento, on Saturday, January 16th, at 2:00 p.m.
