Alan Paul Fenech passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at 71 years of age. Alan was born in Sacramento where he lived his entire life. He attended Holy Spirit School, Christian Brothers High School, UC Davis, UC Berkeley, and Cornell University, followed by a long career teaching statistics at UC Davis. Alan was a kind and unassuming man. He was liked by all who knew him, loved by those who knew him well, and will be much missed by many: his wife Barbara Kieffer, step-son D. Scott Kieffer and family, brother Eugene Fenech (Marilyn), nieces Cathy Graham (Angus) and Maryann Berdan (Michael), nephew Gerard Fenech (Frederique), great-nieces and nephews, as well as many cousins and friends. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 2:30 P.M. at Holy Spirit Church, 3159 Land Park Drive, Sacramento, CA 95818.
