Anne Veronica Baldry, 80 passed away January 15, 2016. She was born January 23, 1935. Her parents were Capt. Aubrey P. Bullock Webster of Auckland, New Zealand and Mary Phyllis Campion of Denver, Colorado. Anne was raised by these loving parents in Pasadena, CA. She had one sibling, Michael Bullock Webster who preceded her in death. Anne attended Polytechnic High School in Pasadena and Scripps College before relocating to San Francisco, a city which still held many treasured memories for her. She was married to Richard Baldry and relocated to Sacramento. Anne was known for her elegance and beauty as well as her devilish wit. She will be remembered by many as Momksi, Grannie Annie, Anne Bullock Webster, Annie, Aunt Margaret and the self-described Ol' Battle Ax. Anne adored time with her family whether in Tahoe, the beach or their homes; she enjoyed playing tennis, swimming, and playing golf which included her famed hole in one at Haggin Oaks. Basically she enjoyed running circles around anyone who tried to keep up. She believed that she owed her longevity to a strict regimen of Chardonnay, Godiva and Ben and Jerry's. Annie is survived by an adoring flock around the country: her daughter Phyllis Harrelson, son in law Trip Harrelson and grandson Sam Harrelson of Steamboat, CO., her son Edwin Baldry, daughter in law Gwen Baldry and grandsons Michael and Evan Baldry of Cohasset, MA. She enjoyed the fact that her daughter relocated to an area that still is rich in Campion family history which remains a standard of philanthropy and entrepreneurship today. Anne enjoyed regular visits with family who were all consistently defeated by her in golf, tennis, backgammon or any word game that required skill. Anne was a member of the Junior League, the Sacramento Opera Association, Del Paso Country Club, Assistant Director of Volunteer Placement Bureau in Pasadena, Volunteer for Channel 6 Auction and Washington Neighborhood Center. Despite all of these accomplishments, she said that her greatest achievements were her children; she was a mother beyond comparison. Anne ends this journey too quickly and unexpectedly leaving many loyal and loving friends, who all seemed to be her best friend. Anne's gratitude and adoration of her friends was only exceeded by her ability to elevate all of us. From her youthful days with the Sacramento Junior League to her last acts of kindness, she brought humor, grace and genuine character to all that she touched. Those who were friends, and there were many, know that we were all fortunate to have access to this amazing individual who exemplified elegance. Anne has requested no services since she was not much for fanfare, however her family would like to enjoy her memories, and her spirit on February 20th, at 4:00 at the Campus Commons Clubhouse. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the WEH2 Foundation at 126 Border St., Cohasset MA. 02025, or the charity of your choice.
