Alfred "Fred" R. Astore

Fred Astore passed away peacefully on April 6, 2016, in Sacramento, Ca. He was 86. Fred is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Marilyn, and loving daughters, Angela Misner (John), Maria (Lou) Patrone, and loving stepdaughter, Lisa (David) Brent. He was a devoted grandfather to Michael and Christopher Misner, Dominic Patrone and Eva, Julian and Alma Brent.

 Fred was born in Brooklyn, NY, to John and Mary Astore. He served in the United States Air Force; and while stationed at Mather Field, met his late wife, Angelina. Fred worked for James P. Keating Liquor Company and Southern Wine and Spirits. He was an avid golfer, and he also enjoyed singing and listening to music. Most of all, he treasured time with his family and friends. Fred has an incredible zest for life!

 The Funeral Mass will take place in the Slakey Chapel at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 6700 21st Ave., Sacramento, at 10am on Sat. April 16, 2016. The chapel is located to the right when you enter through the main gates. A reception will follow the services.

 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Franciscan Friars of California or The Alzheimer’s Society of Northern California. Arrangements by W.F. Gormley & Sons.
