Raymond Dean Friedli passed away on April 11, 2016 in Sacramento. He was 74. Ray was born on May 20, 1941 to Laurene (Pigorsch) and Clifton Friedli in Stockton, Ca. He had a distinguished career at SMUD, beginning as a lineman, and working in estimating and construction. He also played an active role as a union member. In his early years, Ray enjoyed riding motorcycles with his friends. He was an avid Hudson car collector and a member of the local Hudson car club. He was also a lifetime member of Elk's Lodge #6 for 48 years, and enjoyed growing vegetables at home. Ray is survived by his wife Lupe Vasquez Friedli, and his 5 step-children, Richard Bolen, Victor, Patsy and David Vasquez and Barbara O'Brien. He is preceded in death by his sister, Carol Ann Friedli, his longtime friend Paul Scammon, and his parents.
The graveside service will take place at Masonic Lawn Cemetery in Sacramento, on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 1:30 p.m.
