William George Scordakis

William “Bill” Scordakis peacefully passed away surrounded by his beloved family and friends on July 24, 2016. His kind spirit and loving heart will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

From his birth in Mankato, Minnesota to his death at age 89, Bill dedicated his life to his family, friends, and church. Loving husband of 50 years to the late Mary Zikos Scordakis. Preceded in death by his brother, John Scordakis and his sister Christine Gallos. Survived by his brother, Father Haralombos of Albany, New York, and sister-in-law, Ginger Scordakis. His son, Drs. Peter (Dina)Scordakis, and grandchildren Steven and Nico Scordakis. A daughter, Katina (Dave)Walls, grandchildren Kasey, Korey, and Kendall Geist. Nephews and nieces Michael (Wendy)Scordakis, George (Elaine) Scordakis, Steve and Nancy Gallos. One of the founding members of Saint Katherine Greek Orthodox Church in Elk Grove, CA., Bill graduated from the University of Minnesota and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. After serving, Bill began his career as a U.S. Government geological surveyor and retired from the California Department of Water Resources.

Services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday July 28, 2016 at Saint Katherine Greek Orthodox Church, 9165 Peets Drive, Elk Grove, CA. 95758. Remembrances can be made to Saint Katherine Greek Orthodox Church.
