Marian Peter Herbst
Marian Herbst, 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 29, 2016 in Roseville, CA. She was born January 14, 1922 in Nicolaus, CA. Marian was an alumni of East Nicolaus High School, Class of 1939. Member of Saint Rose Church (Sacramento) since 1956. Married to Raymond Herbst for 44 years. Employed as a buyer for Sacramento County. Loving mother of Charlene Herbst Moorhead (John) and Eric Peter Herbst (Debra). Adored grandmother (Oma) to Peter, Raymond, and Elizabeth Moorhead. Also survived by her dear sister Hermina Chiesa and loving nephew and niece Curtis and Laurene Chiesa, nephew Frank Peter, and nieces and nephews of husband including Ruth (Wayne) Hahn and family, David (Linda) Herbst and family, Mary Porter and many others. Predeceased by husband Raymond, parents Mary and Adam Peter, and sister and brothers Anne, Joe, John, and Frank Peter. Rosary to be held on Thursday September 1 at Gormley and Sons at 6:00 pm. Funeral services to be held at Saint Rose Church (ROSEVILLE) on Friday September 2 at 11:30 am. Burial at Calvary Cemetery. Reception to follow at Saint Rose Church (ROSEVILLE). Donations in memory of Marian are appreciated and should be sent to St. Jude Shrine at 512 W Saratoga St, Baltimore, MD 21201.
