Charles Hugh Mcgee

Charles McGee passed away at the age of 82 on November 11, 2016, with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife Joan of 61 years, his sister Clara Mulderrig and his children Cathleen, Dennis, Timothy (Jill) and Hugh (Tina). He was blessed with four grandchildren who he loved dearly, Laura Casstevens (Ryan), Tara Visger (Shawn), Andrew McGee and Ryan McGee. Charles was also the proud great grandpa to Aiden and Parker.

A native of Sacramento, Charles was a graduate of Christian Brothers High School, class of ’52.  After graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy and served during the Korean War. His most significant duty assignment was with Patrol Squadron Six. Charles worked for Sears and owned his own business in South Lake Tahoe. He retired from the State of California Board of Equalization as a Senior Tax Representative after 15 years of service.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at W. F. Gormley & Sons, 2015 Capitol Avenue, Sacramento, Ca. 95811. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery and will be private.
