Melissa Claire Magee

Born October 17, 1959, in Sacramento, California. Melissa was called to her eternal home with her Lord Jesus on November 18, 2016. She is survived by her beloved husband, Steve, and loving children, Andrew Magee, Stephanie Magee and Alissa Dillon. She is also survived by her parents, Mel and Pat Guthmiller, her sister Christine Hobart, as well as 2 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Melissa worked with the Sacramento City Unified School District—25 years at Ethel I. Baker as an Aide for Special Ed. and 10 years at Matsuyama Elementary School as an Office Manager. She was known for her fellowship at Trinity Lutheran Church, donating her quilts for those in need. She enjoyed traveling and discovering new places with her husband. She was an adoring ‘grammy’ and a loving, creative and fun mother, daughter, sister and aunt. 

Friends are welcome for visitation at W.F. Gormley & Sons Chapel, 2015 Capitol Ave., on Friday, November 25, from 2-5pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 26, at 11am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1500 27th Street.
