Dal Joseph Darracq

10-19-1935 to 11-16-2016 Dal J. Darracq -- born in Woodland, raised in Marysville, married in Berkeley and a resident of Sacramento until his death. A trusted financial advisor, wonderful friend, devoted husband and father and true hail-fellow-well-met to all who knew him. Dal was a loyal Golden Bear (Cal '57) and a tireless donor of expertise, time and treasure to -- among many others -- Rotary International, the Trinity Cathedral Finance Committee, the American Cancer Society, the Sutter Club, the Grandfathers Club, the foundation for the original Sacramento Dixieland Jubilee and the UC Berkeley Alumni Board, receiving special recognition for his service from the Regents of the University and the Alumni Council. Beginning as a young insurance salesman with a wife and three little girls after his service in the Air Force, he grew his business to include financial planning, life underwriting, pension planning and wealth transfer for businesses all over Northern California. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sacramento native Pamela Bush Darracq; his three daughters Dione, Nicole and Danielle; three sons-in-law and three grandchildren; and his four siblings. The family would like to express their gratitude to Carescope LLC and particularly Cecile Owens, for her care of him through his final months. Services will be private.
