Kaylin Marie Andres, born May 28, 1985 in Sacramento, California, passed away in NYC on November 21, 2016 after a difficult and complicated eight-year battle with Ewing's Sarcoma. She graduated El Camino HS in 2003 and received her BFA from CA College of the Arts in SF. Kaylin was an artist, writer, young adult cancer advocate, and fashion designer. She loved living in New York. Season 2 of the MTV show, World of Jenks, chronicled her journey from CA to NY to pursue her creative dreams. While there, Kaylin worked with fashion designers Rachel Antonoff and Betsey Johnson, did production work for world-renowned artists, and exhibited in NYC galleries. Her blog, Cancer is Hilarious, as well as the graphic novel Terminally Illin', which she conceived and created with her friend Jon Solo, brought comfort and dark humor to many young adults battling their own cancers. Kaylin is survived by her sister Rhoni Andres, mother Lynn Andres, father Ron Andres, stepmom Michelle Andres, grandparents Don and Mary Moore, half brother Richard, stepbrother Dylan, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Carson Sarcoma Foundation, http://www.carsonsarcomafoundation.org
