Evelyn Corey

Marjorie Evelyn Corey, 91, died Thursday, December 8, 2016 in Sacramento, CA. Mrs. Corey a native of Logansport, Indiana.  Married to Bob Corey for 57 years, Evelyn lived in Modesto for 64 years. A loving wife and mother, Evelyn enjoyed cooking, reading, attending theater, and chronicling her family’s life in pictures and writings.  Her passion was Bridge, and she was a member of the Modesto Bridge Club for many tears. She was preceded in death by her son Robert Jeff Corey, and is survived her daughters, Jane Gragg of Oakdale and Lynn Broward of Sacramento; her grandchildren, Sara Cummings, Anna Jackson, Ryan Brown and Brandon Brown; and her great grandchild Riley Poteet. A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 15, 2016 at W. F. Gormley & Sons Chapel, 2015 Capitol Avenue, Sacramento. Private burial will be at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, In Santa Nella.Remembrances may be made to the Disabled Americans Veterans.
