Steve, a fourth generation Sacramentan, passed away, unexpectedly, on May 4, 2017 at the age of 57. He was born at Sutter Hospital on June 19, 1959 to Patricia and David Ellis. Steve grew up in Sacramento, attended local schools and joined the Navy at the age of 17. He was stationed on the aircraft carrier Enterprise and toured the world. After discharge, he worked as an audio-visual technician in Arizona, Nevada, and California. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Ellis, brother Michael Ellis, sister Suzanne McCormick (Tim), and 4 nieces, Lauren, Alison, Erin McCormick and Kait Herskedel (Nick). A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 1pm at Jackson’s Restaurant, 1120 Fulton Ave., Sacramento. In lieu of flowers, donation in Steve’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
