Margaret Mayer passed peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday morning October 11, 2017 at the age of 97. Mrs. Mayer was a happy resident at Mercy McMahon at the time of her passing, and a devout lifelong Catholic. She was born in Sacramento on December 28, 1919, the 3rd child of Jack and Katie Domich. Her brothers Dain Domich Sr., John Domich and Edward Domich preceded her in death. Margaret was married to the love of her life, Willard Mayer for 55 years. Her son, Greg Mayer (wife Christine) visited and said the rosary with her everyday. Her Grandson, Forest Mayer was the pride and joy of her life. Margaret was involved in many civic activities throughout her life, including Founder and President of the American Cancer League, President of the Women's Forum, President of the Easter Seal Society, President of the Sacramento Symphony, President of the Tuesday Club and was a model for the Mercy Guild Headdress Ball. She also played a significant role in bringing the Beach Boys to Sacramento for their first concert in 1965 at the Memorial Auditorium. She had a successful career as a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker Residential for many years.
Arrangements have been made for a private family service.
