Letha Wright Stevens passed peacefully on December 26, 2017. She was born on February 22, 1925 in Ft. Towson, Oklahoma to Charles Porter Smith and Virgil Lee Davidson. She is survived by her brother Philip Smith, her children Phyllis Wright, William Wright and Charles Wright and eight grandchildren and four great-grand- children. She was preceded in death by her first husband William E. Wright and her second husband Clarence W. Stevens. Letha met and married William in 1942 and had her first son in 1943. While William was overseas during World War II, Letha lived in Hugo, Oklahoma. Letha and William moved to Sacramento in 1959 where she spent more than 30 years working in the banking industry. She started her career with Crocker Bank and retired as a Vice President at Capitol Bank of Commerce. William passed away in 1988 and in 1995 she married Clarence Stevens. Clarence passed away in 2011. She loved to travel around the world and spent several years with Clarence visiting various countries and experiencing different cultures. She loved telling stories about her travels and her childhood. She also loved to garden. She spent many hours per day tending to her beautiful flowers and plants and teaching her children and grandchildren how to garden. Funeral services will be held on January 6, 2018 at 11:00 am. at W.F. Gormley and Sons, 2015 Capitol Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95811.
