Martha Emily Cornwell

On December 30th, in Sacramento, California, Martha Emily Cornwell passed away peacefully, aged 68. Martha is survived by her beloved husband Gene of 47 years, and loving children Michael and Kevin. Martha is also survived by her sisters Eileen, Kathy and Lorraine. Devoted godmother to niece Samantha and nephew David. Also survived by nieces Michelle, Sherri and Tina, and nephews David Lee and Thomas. Martha Cornwell was a California native. She retired in 2014 after having worked as a Registered Nurse for 28 years. She loved music, dance, going to concerts and, most of all, being surrounded by the love and laughter of her family and friends. Martha has found eternal peace alongside Clementina and David, her beloved mother and father, and John, her beloved brother. The Funeral Service will take place at W.F. Gormley & Sons Funeral Home on January 10th at 2:00 pm. The Burial will take place at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery on January 11th at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
