Agnes Teresa (Love) Moe, age 95, passed peacefully in Sacramento, on January 4, 2018. She was surrounded by her nieces and a great niece while listening to the sounds of Scottish bagpipes and ballads from her beloved Scotland. Born in 1922 in Clydebank, Scotland, to John and Jean Love, "Aggie" was the only sister to John, Frank, Tom and William. In 1929, the family immigrated to San Francisco. Agnes attended Girls High School in San Francisco, Class of 1940. On July 1, 1945, she married her one and only love, Jack Moe, and they were married for 56 years. Jack lovingly referred to Aggie as "the wee one" as she was just under 5 feet tall, even with her peep toe high heels. Agnes worked for Pacific Telephone Company for 32 years. She and Jack, a Pearl Harbor survivor, made several trips to Hawaii during their long life together. Agnes was the reigning matriarch of the family, and she is survived by 9 nieces and nephews, 12 great-nieces and great-nephews, and 12 great-great-nieces and great-great- nephews.
A celebration of Agnes' life will be held at a later date. Her ashes will be united with Jack's at Mountain View Cemetery in Reno, Nevada.
