Chris Hartnett died suddenly 01/20/2018 a month before his 73rd birthday. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on 2/23/1945 and was always proud to say “it is the day the U.S. raised our flag in Iwo Jima during WWII”.
Chris was an athlete. He loved to ride his bike, he played high school and college football. He spent his youth on baseball diamonds in Southern California. His latest greatest treat has been playing basketball with the “over 40” guys at Capitol Athletic Club.
Chris spent his working years at the Calif. Dept. of Education, retiring with over 25 years of service.
Chris has a degree in history from SFVSC now Cal State Northridge and a second degree in government from Cal State Sacramento.
Chris was in the USAF during the Vietnam conflict.
He was an all around good person. I will miss him greatly. Later babe-with love.
