Pat (Iliff) Gliebe was born in Sacramento August 18, 1930 to Harry Cutting and May Salvetti Cutting and passed peacefully May 22 at her home in Sacramento. Pat is survived by her brother, Dick Cutting (Loraine), and younger sister Lois Brady. She is predeceased by older sister, Doris Cutting, and her twin sister, Mary Lou Caetano. Also, is survived by her children, Sharon Manich (Leon), Bill Iliff (Nina), Mike Iliff (Lisa), and John Iliff (Tina). Proud Nonnie to 10 grandchildren and one great grand daughter. After graduating from St. Francis Grammar and High Schools on K Street, Pat attended Sacramento Junior College before marrying Bob Iliff (deceased 1983), and raising their children. Pat later married and was preceded in death by Jerry Gliebe. She worked for many years with the state Department of Justice. Basically a self taught pianist who played entirely by ear, Pat joyfully entertained legions with her music, including USO dance halls and Gov. George Deukmejian’s annual Christmas party, not to mention many, many family dinner get togethers. There was no better friend to old school chums and her siblings, carrying on nightly conversations on the phone or over tasty Italian dinners.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Saturday June 9 at 10:30 am In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Francis HS or Christian Brothers HS.
