Robert Allen Beland

Robert Allen Beland, peacefully passed away in Elk Grove on June 20, 2018. Rob was born on June 14, 1963 in Napa, California. He was the beloved husband of Katie Raney Beland, loving father to Brooke (Age 14) and Brady (Age 11), son-in-law of Michael Ann Raney, and brother of Brian Beland of Nevada. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Delor Beland and Jeannette “Ginger” Williams Beland. Rob will also be dearly missed by a tremendous group of family and friends. Rob graduated from Encina High School in Sacramento in 1982 and also attended California State University, Sacramento. Rob was an award winning sports videographer for the NBC Olympics, CBS NFL, CBS NCAA Basketball, CBS PGA, and FOX40 News. Rob received three Emmy Awards for his work at the Sochi Olympics, Rio Olympics and Super Bowl 50. In addition to his work, he enjoyed traveling, boating, spending time with his wife and children.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday June 29, 2018 at W.F. Gormley & Sons Funeral Chapel, 2015 Capitol Avenue in Sacramento.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association in honor of Robert Beland.
