Sister Claire Graham, Sss

Sister Claire Graham, who cofounded Wellspring Women’s Center in Oak Park and for decades was a powerful voice for the poor people in Sacramento, passed away on August 21, 2018. Sister Claire was a native of San Francisco, Calif., and a long time resident of Sacramento. She was 81 years old. Sister Claire was the daughter of the late Charles and Christine Graham. She is survived by her long time friend, Sally Hite, several cousins, her religious community, the Sisters of Social Service, and many many friends.

All are invited to attend a Vigil Service at St. Francis Church, 1060 26th Street, Sacramento, Wednesday, Sept. 5, at 7:00 PM. Friends are also invited to attend a Memorial Celebration of Life Mass also at the Church on Thursday, Sept. 6, at 10:00 AM.

Sister will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Los Angeles, Calif.

Remembrances may be made in her memory to the Sisters of Social Service, 4316 Lanai Road, Encino, Calif., 91436.
