Mary Lynn Vasos

Mary Lynn Vasos born in Sacramento 12/9/1928. Proceeded in death by her loving husband, Spiro, sisters, Helen Kapandritis and Tasi Jones. Surviving sister, Bessie Pothos, daughters, Angela Heinzer (Marc) and Nancy Butler (Mike), grandchildren, Zachary Heinzer, Ryan Butler, Alexa Heinzer, and Robyn Butler.Mary's life was one of love, family, travel, and energy. "I'll rest when I die." She met the love of her life, Spiro, while working at the Department of Justice. Then got married, February 11, 1951, and spent their honeymoon skiing at Sun Valley, beginning a lifetime of adventure. She was an avid tennis player, golfer, camper, reader, and bridge player. Mary was always ready for the next adventure, whether it was traveling the world, camping in Santa Cruz, or making sure she did not miss one moment of her grandchildren's lives. Her sense of humor and infectious personality allowed her to create many lifelong friendships that she truly cherished. She was an active member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation throughout her life where her services will be held. Trisagion Wednesday 8/29 at 7PM and Funeral Thursday 8/30 at 10AM.
