Constance C. Ibarra

Constance Ibarra, 93, passed away peacefully on September 23rd at the Four Seasons Home Care in Elk Grove. She was born Constance Santana in Azusa, California on December 5, 1924. She married Joe Ibarra (deceased) and was a long time Sacramento resident. She worked for the State Franchise Tax Board and later the California Department of Motor Vehicles from which she retired. Connie was a parishioner of All Hallows Catholic Church in Sacramento and a member of the Mr. and Mrs. Club which met for ballroom dancing. She was an avid seamstress who loved sewing and shared that passion with friends and family. Connie is survived by brothers Al and Joe Santana, and children Richard Ibarra with his wife Deedee, Kathryn Policky with her husband Ken, Robert Ibarra with his wife Vicki, and Joe Ibarra with his husband Rick. She was the grandmother to Kara Hendrickson, Amelia Bowler, Michael Byerly, Jesse Ibarra, Steven Ibarra, and Jordan Policky. Connie was also the great-grandmother of 8.

Family and friends are invited to visitation viewing Thursday, September 27th from 2pm-7pm at the Gormley and Sons Funeral Chapel at 2015 Capitol Ave., Sacramento.

A rosary will be immediately followed by a requiem mass at 11:30 am Friday, September 28th at St. Joseph's Chapel at St. Mary's Cemetery, 6700 21st Ave., Sacramento.

Remembrances may be made in her name for the Sacramento Society for the Blind.
